Built with a traditional PU plastic used in other hybrid and resort style boots, the Backland Expert provides a smoother ride on the way down compared to other, more uphill oriented, ultra light boots. At the same time, clocking in at 2400 grams for the pair, this boot is no heavyweight, but punches like one. A low volume fit with a 98mm last provides a performance fit for extra control and responsiveness while touring and skiing. An excellent option for folks looking for something lighter and more suited for backcountry skiing than a hybrid style boot, without hitting ski-mo territory.
